The walk is easy and the views beautiful. Have been several times taking friends and family. Well worth it - take a picnic lunch if weather and temps permit!

Beautiful and uncrowded during off season. It was high tide which made the views even better. We got quite wet due to rain but still worth the visit.

Short walk from the parking lot to view this incredible lighthouse. All the lighthouses on the Oregon Coast are awe inspiring. Beautiful with the new paint job. Didn’t encounter the ghost...

The Cape Meares Lighthouse is a fun stop along the Oregon Coast that affords very pretty views of the coastline and a very interesting octopus tree nearby (serious, it's nuts). The lighthouse is very small and is easily accessible and the area around the lighthouse...More

Stopped here and saw the lighthouse and octopus tree. The lighthouse was closed, but still a cool piece of history.

This is a beautiful area with well-maintained hiking paths. My only complaint is that the restrooms are closed in winter.

We were driving up the coast and decided to randomely stop at this lighthouse. The views were incredible and the informational plaques on the way taught us something that day. It was pretty windy at the light but if you can deal with the cold...More

Dramatic cliff views of the ocean and islands. Perfect tiny light-house with original-style prisms. Don't miss the Octopus tree past the rest-rooms. It's unique. Find the end of the road, here.

This non-operational lighthouse is relatively small, as in height that is open to the public during the summer. Besides the lighthouse, numerous trails allow you to explore the surrounding area. This area also affords great views of cliffside nesting birds and during the season whale...More

I refer to this lighthouse as the dopey lighthouse as it is very short. If I remember right it's only about 6 steps to the top but inside is currently closed for winter season. There is no fee to visit and a short hike to...More
