I frequent this bridge - probably almost every weekend every week of the year. Not just as a runner, walker and local resident, but also as a passenger on the MAX Orange Line or Bus #9. I have lived in both Portland and Seattle -...More

Sounds strange that walking over a little-known bridge would be a highly rated attraction, but this one deserves it. Unlike the Brooklyn or Golden Gate, the Tilikum Crossing isn't historic, famous or an engineering marvel. But it's a beautifully designed and scaled span in a...More

My friends decided it would be fun to walk on the bridge at 10pm while it was freezing out, and it was actually a good call. There was almost nobody there, and it was beautiful.

I cross this often, by MAX, bike and walking. One of my favorite walks was early evening in a light rain watching the lights of the bridge change.

From my downtown hotel, I walked along both sides of the Willamette River, and enjoyed criss-crossing on this bridge and a couple others. Great walk on a nice fall day, although surprising number of bicyclists and homeless everywhere.

We paid $5.00 to park at OMSI Museum on the east side of the Willamette River and enjoyed a walk across and back on the Tilikum Crossing Bridge. We weren’t quite sure where we were going, but we just followed the walkway on the river...More

Rode our bikes over the bridge West into Downtown Portland. This was such a nice, car free way to get into the city. Great views

I’d suggest doing a daytime walk about to get your bearings then return at night...possibly from the OMSI (East side). Good luck!
