Wow! The rose gardens were spectacular! Not sure if September is always the best blooming season but my family that just moved to Portland said there were more roses in September than in May/June. A definite must do when in Portland!

A wonderful place to spend an afternoon. The roses are magnificent and the park is well maintained. It’s worth repeated return visits.

The roses were in bloom. The colors and fragrances were amazing. It was a beautiful day with light puffy clouds and uncrowded paths.

The hop on and hop off bus left us off right at the rose gardens. So many roses in bloom and colors I didn't even know about. Easy to walk around with restrooms and venders along side gardens. Nice views of Mt. Hood.

Roses of all colors and types. Wonderful walking paths and plenty of parking. A photographers wonderland. Statues pop up in hidden places and alongside benches. Refreshments available. Need GPS, difficult to find.

Soon there will be rhododendrons, but the lovely roses should be at their best in May, June, and July depending on how hot summer will be. I was there in Sept and there were still pretty roses, but I think June is best to... More
