This is a sanctuary and place for meditation. Hard to believe such a place is so close to a large, important city. While it may not be terribly interesting to followers of other religions, but a real “must see” for Catholics.

this is an incredible garden to tour, with many religious statues, as you follow the paths thru the gardens. Plus has amazing views across the valley, from the cliff-top location.

Very quiet and peaceful place for prayer...even with all the people around....beautiful grotto and stonework and right in the middle of the city. Amazing...great place to take a break from the busy touristy activities and slow down and contemplate life...or whatever.

I have been going to the Grotto since I was a little girl. It was one of my favorite places. Nice little gift store and so very peaceful.

Great place to attend Catholic mass on a Sunday morning since mass is outside. Love the feeling of this outdoor community celebrating together at mass.

We went in December in the rain to see the lights and it was great! Umbrella works just fine and was not very crowded.
