Yes, a lovely garden, but you simply cannot miss the Owen Cherry Tree. The first major industry in this area was fruit processing," The (Owen cherry) tree is very close to where the original Eugene Fruit Growers Association was located. That's a big, important deal down here. When this tree blooms, it is better than a fireworks show!

Seeing all these gorgeous old roses and the pretty setting was a special day for us. I enjoyed taking photos of my family in this garden and we enjoyed smelling the roses too. I would go back any time!

Was surprised at how many roses were still blooming! This is the place for you if you have a short amount of time, want to see and smell lovely roses. Pathway is mostly paved throughout, free to visit with ample free parking. The bike trail is adjacent so also has restroom facilities on site. Roses are mostly well marked with names and you can see climbing, hybrids, old fashioned and other varieties. Benches to sit on if you just want to relax. Some of garden is shaded. Depending on how long you have to spend here you can see most of the roses in under 30 minutes if you read all the tags...but why hurry?

nice garden with some great layouts. amazing old cherry tree is very cool. like the rest of the cities public areas there is some vagrant issues but nothing usually interrupting. quite a bit of parking for a park this size and you can access the river/trail and neighboring park to the south.

This garden is at its peak from the middle of May to the middle of July. A great place to see groupings of a single type of rose, each carefully labelled and grown beautifully. We go there to check out which variety of rose we would want to grow in our own garden. It's like a library of roses. The main part is very well manicured and there is an overflow of 'extra' and heirloom roses that is a little less perfectly maintained, but still interesting.
