The reason for 3 stars: anyone with mobility concerns cannot get to the beach, although picnic tables and restrooms are ADA accessible. Hug Point is loaded with Oregon history and wondrous natural features, but it's unreasonable to expect someone with those concerns to wait while...More

We stopped in while driving back from Tillamook. It was a very windy and cloudy day, but the view was amazing. Get out and go to the beach, enjoy the waved crashing into the cave, and walk the trail above the water. Beautiful!

A small quiet beach located off highway 101. You park in a forest and a short walk later you are standing on the beach. The north end of the beach has a small cave where you are sheltered from the wind.

This was our third trip to Oregon, but our first time to stop at Hug Point. It was so cool to explore the small caves and tide pools at low tide!

My 1st trip to Oregon from Kansas City. I spent most of my 18 days in the Cannon Beach area & going along Hwy 101. The night before I left I wanted to see Hug Point but couldn't find it. After a long trip up...More

Pictures do this place no justice! It’s absolutely stunning!!! I would recommend waterproof shoes, or go barefoot. After sunrise or before sunset is best. Less people and the tide is perfect!

Cool beach with some small caves, a small waterfall, and tons of beach area. Walk around a few corners around the rocks and you'll find even more beaches. If you want to chill out and have some major beach real estate to yourself, this would...More

Wanted to check it out due to the history. Very cool little spot. Best to go during low tide if you want to check out the ruts caused by cars and coaches before 101 was built.

Visited in the pouring rain and it was still beautiful and a fun way to spend an hour or two. At low tide there are a number of caves and tide pools to explore that offer great photo opportunities. Also a really lovely beach to...More

We got there just before the tide came in. We didn't want to get stranded, so we only had a few minutes. Gorgeous gem of a beach off the beaten path. Little bit of a climb down, so if you have mobility issues, this could...More

I would say it depends on the limited mobility. The road down to the beach is paved and a little steep. There are a few wooden steps to go down. Once you are down at the beach you can walk to the rocks and peak in a few of... More

I'm not sure the official answer but we did see some people that started a fire inside one of the caves.
