The town needs to catch up with the level of visitors with more stop lights instead of stop signs, difficult to find parking and minimal access to the beach. Would recommend another beach unless you can afford to stay in town and walk.

My very favorite place on the Oregon Coast. walking the beach at low tide is even more fun than when the tide is in, because you get to see the see life attached to and around the rocks. It's truly amazing

We did not stay at Cannon Beach so really the area is not easily accessible unless you get there before 10 am. That said, Haystack Rock is beautiful.

My second time visiting Cannon Beach. We love it here and love just walking along the coast and enjoying the sights, salty air, etc. So fun to gently touch the anemone too!

From start to finish, our trip to Cannon Beach was AWESOME! The weather was perfect, walking through downtown and through the shops was extremely relaxing. Cannon Beach is a peaceful, relaxing place. Our 5 mile walk in the am was God given and beautiful!

You must look up low tide time to fully experience the beauty found in the pools around the rocks. Some areas teamed with life, crabs and sea urchins and anemones. It was worth the fifteen year wait!

We went here on a Tuesday morning and there was still a bit of a crowd. We walked about a mile down the beach to get a shot of Haystack Rock. After that we spent the rest of the time checking out the shops in...More

A beautiful large beach free of litter and plenty of space to set up and have your own picnic or just enjoy the views!

Cannon Beach is a beautiful, busy town on the Oregon coast. Lots of restaurants, shops and places to stay. Free parking in city lots. Very busy in summer. Some great hiking in state parks. Walking the beach and enjoying the view of Haystack Rock is...More

Tide pools around Haystack rock were AMAZING! We had been crossing our fingers we'd see some sea stars and we did! 8 in fact. It was incredible.

Plan on a lot of riding on two lane highways, but lots of bikers do it. We see them frequently on these roads. In many places there are good shoulders.

Oregon, along the coast, is a annual trip for us. Not knowing your start point (flying into Portland? driving from MO?) I used Seaside OR as a start point. From Seaside to Bandon, OR is only a 5 1/2 trip! So having 6-7 days... More

we have never owned a motorhome but Cannon Beach is an expensive area so I wouldn't count on free. you might have better luck in Seaside which is just a few miles north or try Manzanita, only a few miles to the south
