I've yet to see this on a sunny day, but it's so beautiful in that cloudy Oregon weather. It can get a bit chilly, even in the summer. If it's a cloudy day, make sure you have a jacket with you. Parking is a pain,...More

Went to see Haystack Rock and spent some time wandering the town. The town has a few public parking lots with really clean public restrooms. Parking can be a bit of a challenge, we were there on a weekday in September and pretty busy. I...More

We left Seattle and drove the entire Oregon coast. Cannon beach was one of my favorite stops and is a really cool beach town. Numerous restaurants and lodgings. The state park at the north end of town is worth the $5 fee. Drive down to...More

This is a quaint little Seaside town with more mediocre restaurants and you can shake a stick at. The nice thing about this place as you can do everything it has to offer in one afternoon and move on to the next town. Great little...More

We rented a car in Portland Sunday morning and headed to Cannon beach. The drive was really pretty with lots of trees. There were a lot of free parking lots in the main town near haystack rock. The beach was very windy and much cooler...More

The beach was clean and beautiful. The ocean waves against the rocks were spectacular. The clouds hanging in the mist with warm sunshine was so pleasant. A must to spend some time walking on the beach.

Didn’t know there were 2 Haystack Rocks! Loved Cannon Beach. It’s absolutely charming and lovely. Plenty of places to eat and great accommodations

Plan on a lot of riding on two lane highways, but lots of bikers do it. We see them frequently on these roads. In many places there are good shoulders.

We used Cannon Beach as our starting point and spent 6 days going down the coast, staying at a different town every night. If you want to see the coast, staying at Cannon Beach is not convenient as it will entail... More

we have never owned a motorhome but Cannon Beach is an expensive area so I wouldn't count on free. you might have better luck in Seaside which is just a few miles north or try Manzanita, only a few miles to the south
