Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Pfieffer Station General Store is not Amish run but features bulk foods, snacks, baked goods, and crafts made by the local Amish community. It is also a good place to get a cold treat on a hot day and get information about Hardin County's Amish community. You will see plenty of buggies on the country roads around the store.

Love to stop here for a some chunked bologna and cheese and amish bread and cookies to snack on while taking a drive through Amish country on all the back roads.

Super little, old style store off the beaten path and we'll worth a visit! Great selection of bulk foods and candy! Fresh sandwiches, Amish bake goods, and hand dipped ice cream offered as well!!! Nice historic area of Hardin Co. and this a real gem! Worthy of a quick visit!

What a great little hidden GEM. We had the best HOMEMADE scallope potatoes/ham/cheese for lunch. The little store is a great place to find neat item as well. Reasonable price, clean and friendly.

Pfeiffer Station General Store has daily lunch specials which are good home cooking. My friend and I stopped in today and had Beef and Noodles, Mashed Potatoes, a Roll and butter for $5.99. It was delicious.. There are two picnic tables outside but for the most part its carry out. The special was sold out as we received our meals. There was constant traffic in and out of the store and it seemed like many regulars return for lunch frequently. they also have sandwiches on the menu like sloppy joes and shredded chicken. The store also has an extensive inventory of spices and dip mixes and a nice selection of penny candy .Amish pies, cookies, cakes are also available. Some gift items. Also hand dipped ice cream.

So we decided to do a day trip and make this one of our destinations based on an article I had read. Big disappointment. Store is small, the handcrafted items are limited to a small area in the back of the store, the "fond memories of yesteryear" was limited to a shelf or two in the store and the baked goods consisted of ONE pack of sugar cookies! There is a variety of jams, jellies, snacks available for purchase and sandwiches are also available but overall I was very disappointed.
