Drove to the Cape Woolamai Beach where there is a lookout boardwalk looking out over the beach. We went down the ramp onto the beach - very clean and vast. There were keen surfers in this cool weather surfing the quite large waves. It is...More

Just went for a drive and came across this stunning beach. The sand is so clean and you can see for miles. Very popular with the surfers as well.

There is a lovely 8km walk around Cape Woolamai - easy bush walking with friends and children of all ages. Got to see baby fairy penguins in burrows, an echidna on walkabout and some wallabies

Went down to see the surf competition. We were a bit early but got to see a few tackle the surf and waves! Beautiful beach! Just beware of jelly fish is my advice!

Really beautiful area and beach to take a look in. There are also a few walks around this area that are meant to be great (didn't have time ourselves!). There is free parking and public toilets here also.

Looks like a great place to surf. Sand was clean, sun was shining and the views spanning side to side were great. Must come back when its warmer and try surfing here.

One of our favourite beaches on the island. Water is very cold though so make sure you have a wetsuit. Perfect for those stinking hot days. Great surfing beach with lifesavers watching out. The waves can be very violent though so experienced surfers and swimmers...More
