It's a shame more people don't know about this wonderful Museum. While it is small, it contains so much history of the region. Hopefully with more funding and donations from the public of historical items, the Museum will continue to grow and expand. There is...More

We spent about half-an-hour there and enjoyed the review of the development of this region from early 1800's. Many pictures and exhibits made it all the more interesting.

The Museum occupies a single floor only but going through the exhibits of historical artifices, photos and drawings etc seriously will take an hour - not a bad way to spend if you are on a day tour of Windsor. Don’t miss the 2 specimens...More

Free entry at the Information Centre with a small, but excellent display of various items. Seeing the flood prone history of Windsor was quite eye opening! A definite worthwhile stop whilst in the area.

For a quick overview of the early settlements in the area, and key movers eg Macquarie, spend an hour here. Air-conditioned. Very nice volunteers. Covers war contributions, convict times (very briefly), floods, etc. On weekends, go out the back to the two storey house/bakery for...More

As one of Australia's earliest settlements, there is so much history here but it is not obvious to the first time visitor. This will help a lot to anyone get some perspective, only small but worth spending some time.
