Its 320 acres (130 hectares)has retained much of its 17th Parkland character and has the feel of open countryside. It offers Avenues, hidden dells, hills, valleys, ponds and streams. It's elevated position provides panoramic views of Farnham and surrounding countryside. Superb place to walk
Aug 2021
We walked through the park from Hale to get down to Farnham today and it was just beautiful. The park has so much space to walk and relax and really gives you an uplifting positive feeling. Excellent for families with activities to keep the young ones happy.

Unpleasant experience
Nov 2020
Farnham deer park is a lovely place to walk your dog. We have been coming here for 20 years. It is well maintained, and dog owners, on the whole, are very responsible and nice people. Unfortunately, this morning, my husband and I were walking our 9 year old cocker spaniel and experienced an unusual but very unpleasant incident. A German shepherd/Alsatian dog came charging over to us, barking, it was quite intimidating for us and our dog. The young woman owner refused our request to call her dog back and keep it under control, the 2nd time we asked her she became abusive and said if we did not like our dog 'socialising' we should not be in the park !?
Our dog happily socialises with other dogs, just not aggressive, out of control ones.
We have reported this to the Rangers Office but it has left us shaken.

More car parking spaces for this popular park please!

Lovely park with plenty of room for social distancing during lockdown 2. Unfortunately there were far too many cars for the car park and people were leaving their cars all over the place.

Park was well maintained and I had a wonderful walk with my Border Collie. I look forward to returning when hopefully it is not so busy

Lovely big natural park

Lovely big natural park. Didn't get round it all in 2 goes but there are ponds, an adventure playground and another playground. Was hoping for a better view of the castle as it's shut due to Covid. Nice for picnics, dog walking and a great space for children. Was absolutely beautiful in early September

a walk in a lovely park
Mar 2020
What a delight to take my daily walk in such a lovely wild setting. Wonderful variety of trees with two playgrounds for children. One of them is a terrific adventure playground with some 30 -40 activities. You can find deer, rabbits, squirrels and wild birds to see as you as you walk. Good views of Farnham castle and a nice little tearoom beside the cricket ground and the little golf course. Or just switch off and count the number of different breeds of dog out with their owners for their daily exercise.

Reunion with School Friend

We had a lovely walk around Farnham Park as we chatted about old times and caught up on news and families. I had forgotten what a vast space the park was and so varied with streams, elegant avenues of trees and open parkland. Paths all round, so perfect for a wet weather dog walk. It was altogether a very pleasant way to spend an afternoon.

Surprisingly big park
Dec 2019
A surprise to find such a large park right next to the town centre. We followed the main paths which were surfaced and not muddy, so it was a good choice for a winter walk. The park landscape is very varied with some good views to the Surrey Hills. There are playing fields, woodlands, streams, plus a children's playground, a golf course and a café and toilets. Free parking is a bonus.
