A quaint cobbled street in the heart of Frome offering various independent shops and cafes. It is quite steep but a worth while visit. Plenty of unusual fare on offer and a bit old fashioned but pleasing architecture

My son and I were in Frome visiting elderly family. I took him to see some of my childhood memories it really seemed it had got steeper and not me getting older. He loved it.

Such a great collection of eclectic, independent shops with panache and verve to explore. The pleasing architecture, ancient cobbles, and beguiling window displays invite you to wander and linger.

Catherine Hill is a real gem! It’s reasonably steep and cobblestone underfoot. It’s full of independent shops selling an abundance of items from fashion and shoes to the most interesting of all, an old-fashioned hardware store which would keep your attention for an age. There...More

Standard town around, with easy cheap parking. However Catherine hill was lovely, gorgeous little independent stores and coffee shops. Nothing seems to open and get buzzy until 11am. Very cute will definitely visit again if in the area again.

This is a long, winding, steep hill that climbs out of the centre of the town. It's very old & cobbled so you need to take care when walking. Both sides have small independent shops. On first Sunday in the month in Summer, when the...More

A lovely street full of a wide range of interesting shops. The hill is steep and cobbled, so be careful if it's wet!

very picturesque - such a shame we visited on a sunday when almost all of the shops were closed! we will definitely return & hopefully visit the market as well as the very interesting independent shops on the Hill.

A hidden gem not noticeable as you drive through Frome, but climb up from Stoney Street to the top of Catherine Hill and the rewards are great. Artisan shops and cafes, restored cobbled street and quaint houses, Catherine Hill is well worth exploring

That is a tricky question to answer as a lot of the shops are individually owned and each owner probably has a different point of view. It also depends on the size of the dog... You would always leave your dog outside as it... More
