Nice views over Oswestry, although Oswestry whilst pretty enough on the ground doesn’t reveal its attractiveness from on high much. The castle is as slighted as can be. It’s a few bits of walls strewn about. Still, it’s free and worth wandering up to if you have 5-10 minutes.

A little difficult to find driving around the town, but managed to park in the market car park at the base of the mound - well worth the effort for the views alone! Pretty little castle ruins - really not much left now after the Victorians remodelled the area. A nice way to spend an hour in Oswestry.
