"I imagine that the golfer's eye must be more often taken off the ball at Bamburgh than any other course" wrote Bernard Darwin in his 1920s book Golf on the LNER, "the view is so compellingly beautiful that we really have to look at it, no matter how critical the shot. Played this golf course last Sunday. Great Clifftop/Seaside course. I started off at a flyer with 3 pars and 2 bogies on the first five holes playing off a handicap of 23. Don't be fooled, this course bites back. I said to my playing partner,...More

A fun course, perhaps as a second round in a day. It's short, but very hilly. Don't let the yardage fool you, there are some challenging holes for sure. Also great views of the castle and sea.

First time I have played the course and overall, it is a tough challenge particularly with a strong wind and very fast greens. The views are spectacular. A friendly atmosphere and enjoyed the after game food and drink. Well worth the visit.
