I was just talking about this place when I realised I hadn't given it a review. Called in here last month with my wife, having read about its great range of whiskies. It doesn't look much from the outside, the empty pub sign frame the...More

We recently had a short stay in Alnwick, and this pub was recommended to us by a local. And we were mightily impressed! As an avid real ale and whisky drinker, this pub ticks all my boxes! Lovely beer and warm welcome. Hidden gem!

I love the JOhn Bull. This is a proper old fashioned (in the best way) pub. Five ever-changing cask ales and ciders of the highest quality, with a wide range of bottled Belgian beers if the cask offering doesn't suit. The bar staff and regulars...More

heard about their selection of beers and went along whilst we were visiting Alnwick. It's a 6 minute walk up slight hill from the main street, but worth a visit - it is a good old fashioned local pub with a relaxed atmosphere and nothing...More
