We had a lovely time at the castle. It was lovely to see the vista and try to guess where scenes from Harry Potter took place. The broomstick Training was hilarious and such a laugh and was the highlight of our day.
A castle worth seeing in a county with no shortage of castles .
The gardens are worth seeing as well . The owners are not shy about opportunities to sell you stuff but running a castle doesn’t come cheap .

Had a lovely afternoon after visiting the gardens. Loved looking around the rooms in the castle seeing the beautiful furnishings, furniture, lighting, etc. The grounds are wonderful too. Will definitely return soon.
The castle itself is ok, there’s not a lot to do apart from walk around and look at the castle, which a lot of people will like I’m sure. It’s a bit boring for me. And it’s a lot of money to pay to walk...More

We visited the castle only but you could also purchase tickets for the gardens discounted when brought together. The castle has a car park which charges £3.00 but if you head for the main car park in town you get 4 hours for FREE! which...More
