Visited Alnwick Castle when we were staying nearby and so glad we did. We only did the castle instead of the gardens but would like to do this another time. Plenty of walking and lots to see and do. Great museum and the state rooms...More

Do book your tickets online 24 hours in advance to get a 10% discount. The combined castle/garden ticket is £28 so that difference can buy a couple of coffees. The initial view of the castle is striking but there does not seem so much to...More

This very picturesque residence in a storybook setting is very cool. It has great museum displays and ancient walls as well movie and tv credit. We loved it all. And Alnwick is very quaint. Grab a newcastle brown and fish-n-chips at a local pub. Cheers

An incredible house with the most fantastic art on display. The state rooms are a sight to behold! It has to be on your list for any tour of Northumberland. You can walk to it from Alnwick town center or park in the castle grounds itself.

£16 for a castle visit is extortionate and the smoke screen of upgrading this for 12 months membership and free visits is ridiculous, this didn't even include the gardens!! The castle is intact and well maintained - the keep, rooms and artefacts are impressively displayed...More

It’s not that scary, a shaky rope bridge and a dragon head appearing in the last scene lasts off of 10minutes there were young ones in with us and they were not over bothered
