Having recommended this establishment to family and friends from previous experience, I was gutted by the recent experience we had. Who can charge £38 for a steak that is like boot leather

Lovely restaurant in heart of Whitstable. Covid Safe measures in place throughout, friendly staff and great menu. Try the Beef Carpaccio, divine! Good value, would recommend. Dog friendly.

Booked a table on a very busy Saturday night. Fabulous experience with great service fantastic food in a lively atmosphere. My smoked haddock main course was perfection and everyone in our party enjoyed their food. Top marks to the kitchen staff and front of house, we will be back.

It saddens me that I need to write this review after sending a letter and not receiving any response from the management. This is the letter I sent and feel it is now important that people are aware of how disappointing our Christmas dinner was. 8 adults and 2 children dined at the Pearson’s for Christmas dinner and 8 out of 10 were very disappointed. The food that was served to the 8 was below standard for the price.Turkey was stringy, all the veg were overcooked, the roast potatoes were so over done there was no potato left to eat just greasy skins. Dessert, Christmas pud was cold and suety and we then had to wait for the brandy custard which when eventually arrived was also cold. And please how can anyone get ice cream and chocolate sauce wrong?! When it arrived there wasn’t any sauce and when that eventually arrived the ice cream had all melted. Sadly 3 desert spoons were sharp and my grandson had one of them.it seems that the cutlery was of a very poor quality and at the very least should be checked before giving out to diners. 4 of the party were old age pensioners who were all born and bred in Whitstable. It was a special treat for them to be invited to dine at the Pearson’s and all have good memories of the pub but were all disgusted with the meal. How time changes and unfortunately in this case not for the better. Please for the sake of once a favourite local pub take notice of this review.

Called in two nights running for a couple of beers (nice range of real ales) and food. The bar menu can best be described as an English take on tapas. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff.
