Came here as part of a school trip, and was really taken aback by the scenery. Beautiful, sloping hills with crashing waves at the base, and stunning cliffs in the distance. Some nice residential housing too. Well constructed paths enable walkers (sometimes with a dog)...More

Wonderful views, fresh sea smells, stroll along the prom up to Whitstable. Brilliant for doggie walkers, plenty of refreshment stops along the way. Take your time and chill....👍

Even on the day we visited Tankerton, it was a bit hazy but Southend can into view and it's a great please just to lay back and relax. Between the wind turbines you can see the WW2 Maunsell army fort.

Tankerton Slopes is a grassy hill down to the shingle beach of Tankerton. There is a steep but smooth path leading down for those who prefer not to risk the slope. Plenty of dog waste bins and good compliance with dog regulations mean the area...More

15-20 mins on a flat ground along the seafront to continental hotel. Another 5 mins to harbour street Hope this helps

No problem for us and free along the roadside bays even on a Saturday mid morning..
