If Turner liked Margate it was the beauty of the view across the bay. Beautiful sands a pleasure to sit on or just to look at everybody else enjoying the surroundings. I just wish people would take one their I repeat their rubbish. Who do...More

Margate sands ( at low tide) is always a pleasure - safe toddling space and big “puddles” to splash in!

Nice area with lovely soft sand ideal for making sand castles or simply going in the sea for a paddle. There's a small selection of kiddies rides and a bouncy Castle, takeaway and cafe right on the beach.

The sand on the beach had just been filtered and put back level, so nicely done it was a pity to walk on it. There was a lot of work being done with the sand further up and it was fenced off.

Margate beach is quite nice - lots going on, and easy access to lots of fish and chips, ice creams etc. A classic sandy British seaside.

As far as I can remember, there are announcements over the loudspeaker system saying dogs are not allowed on the beach during the summer months
