The Astor is an unique place, theatre and meeting place.. Professionals mingle with amateurs and locals. It has wide ranging facilities for diverse activites. The management are helpful and fiendly. It is a lovely place to perform watch participate.
Great choice of shows for a local theatre, has improved in recent years. Lovely place to have in our town.
Sort the toilets out though, there for La Voix and where toilets were so busy none would flush!! Not very pleasant!!

We hosted an amazing baby shower here! Spacious and bright enough for games such as double blindfolded feed the baby, guess the nappy contents and guess the bump size! The lady looking after us enjoyed them too from afar! Sorry I’ve forgotten her name!

This little theatre is great. It has a good bar and lovely staff. We visited to see an old pop singer called Colin Bluntstone, who was very good, especially at £25 per ticket. It is hidden away from the seafront, but easy to find.

Next week at the Astor we have our own youth theatre's production of Shakespeare's As You Like It. There is a preview performance on Wednesday 27th and two further performances on Friday 29th and Saturday 30th. All performances start at 7.30pm. There is also 'A Little Toy Shop of Horrors' summer drama school for 7-12 year olds, starting on Monday 25th and runs all week from 10am - 3pm. Finally, on Saturday morning the 30th we have The Secret Drawing Club. A life drawing class with a difference.
