The best thing about this place is leaving on the ferry. The owners have just negleted this place for years. But it serves a purpose. Now the one in Dieppe is much nicer. So come on guys brighten this gloomy place up.

Being used to larger ports like Dover, with some form of facility to walk to this was disappointing. The whole port needs revamping and expanding. Almost an hour to get out of the port. We only live 11 miles away and thought we would be...More

Ferry crossing is good but unloading at Newhaven always a nightmare. 4 hours crossing but 1.5 hours getting off the ferry and getting through customs. Very disorganised as always. It's a good thing we live in the next town to get home...

This is the quickest it has taken to arrive and check-in and drive on to the ferry. Just what we wanted after spending most of the day travelling from the west coast of Wales

We have used this ferry port on several occasions over the past six years. Each time we hope that there might be some improvement, not a chance. You can't even get a bottle of water or a paper or a bar of chocolate. The shore...More

It’s a very useful and interesting way to travel but queuing and so can be the stressful part and you can do what you like here such as sleeping and eating and just chilling. The fact there’s also one eatery on ferry, makes the queue...More

We travelled on a day which was not too busy. We did not have to queue very long, though we got there over an hour before. It’s always pot luck where you end up on the ship. Unfortunately we ended up on the top deck...More

Tired, run-down and dirty! The Departure Lounge (Lounge???? - Waiting Area!!) is awful. The Loos at 8am are disgraceful and, in my opinion, are a health hazard! There seems to be a complete lack of any care and attention. I cannot help but wonder what...More

On the face of it this port is run down and a bit shabby but in reality it’s actually a very efficient and low-cost way of getting to France. It’s amazing how they get an enormous ship into such a small estuary. I hope that...More
