I've visited this Pier numerous times now. Its as much a definition of Southwold as Southwold town itself. Old, timeless and as someone described on here somewhat "Iconic." Take a walk along its 80 yards or so and experience seaside shops, unusual mechanical games, water...More

Southwold pier is so varied and interesting. There are places to eat, amusements, shops and quirky old-fashioned entertainments. The water-clock is and amazing piece of engineering, we didn't want to miss the half-hourly drenching! Something for everyone.

You cannot go to Southwold and NOT visit Southwold Pier. Impossible. Many generations before us have loved piers at many seaside resorts throughout the land. Not many survive in Southwold's remarkable condition and it is a credit to the town. We always make a point...More

Hi, You are more than welcome to bring a dog as long as its on a lead. We also don't allow dogs into the Boardwalk Restaurant, but everywhere else is fine. Thanks, Southwold Pier
