I absolutely love visiting Happisburgh although I must confess to a certain amount of sadness when looking at the coastal erosion. The beach is incredible, beautiful big sky and stunning lighthouse,

Nice to find this beach in Norfolk to walk our dog, when there are restrictions on many other beaches in the area. Good for us too with a good choice of local food pleasures and eateries in the surrounding area.

This lighthouse is owned by the village of Happisburgh. I'd thoroughly recommend visiting this N.N. Coastal Icon, you'll need to check via the website to see when it is open to visitors. There is a small fee to pay per person but remember the lighthouse...More

My favourite Norfolk beach. A magical little place with a wonderful energy, despite the erosion. Great photo opportunities too.

We only visited the area as we'd heard of the lighthouse. What a surprise it was to find the dog friendly beach to explore. Freddie lovesd his couple of hours off lead wandering freely

Beautiful sandy beach, unfortunately when we were there the ramp down was closed so we didn't actually get down but it looked lovely. Warning signs everywhere saying keep well back from the edge - you can see why! Shame this beautiful area is being eaten...More

Walked along the beach from Walcott to Happisburgh (approx 2 miles). Interesting walk as you can see the various attempts overtime to stop the coastal erosion with various sea defences. Encountered very few people so sense of getting away from it all is sensed. Kept...More
