I am sorry to say we don't offer boat trips in the dark season. The sun does not go above the horizon in January so we only offer shorter snowmobile trips with focus on Northern lights. The whales is most common to see in Tromsø this part of the year, so I recommend to stop a day or two in Tromsø on the way to us.

In Ocotober, you can definetely do some hiking on Svalbard. It will be a bit cold for kayaking, but you could take a boat trip instead. In october we offer daily fjord safaris called Catch of the Day, in small, closet and comfortable RIB boats. The trip is open destination and focuses on wildlife, nature and scenery.
We also offer evening hikes across the tundra nearby Longyeabyen. Depending on when in October you want to visit, you will be able to enjoy many different light conditions and maybe even Northern Lights.
