The track is well maintained and provided us with a chance to see a wild platypus and turtle within 10 minutes. Arrived about 5pm.

A pleasant walk along the creek. A good place to see a platypus in the wild, we saw several each time we walked. My husband also caught Red Claw in the creek.

Our hosts at Curtain Fig Motel recommended the walk to us and we were delighted to see platypuses in the creek. A lovely walk too, although mossie repellent is handy!

Thought it was a bit touristy, but then I saw one! So cute. Walked along the Peterson track along the river.

Went in the late afternoon, and, after a good while searching, did eventually see a platypus around dusk. The trail itself is nice, bordering the creek and a field. Patience is necessary if you are looking for platypus, but this is a good place.

Our family of four (children 7 & 9), went early (7:30am) in hopes to spy the shy and elusive platypus. We enjoyed the scenic walk around the trail, and were pleasantly surprised to see at least four different platypuses during our walk! Around 8:30am we...More

As locals, we just thought we would drop in. Right place & right time as there were 3 platypus making there way up & down the creek. *Hint - go walk under the bridge and up the path, it’s quieter and more peaceful with better...More

We walked part of this track last week(about 5pm), starting from Allumbah Pocket (below Penda St). We saw a very active platypus swimming up and down the creek and then saw it climb the bank and enter its hole. So exciting. The suspension bridge was...More

A credit to the volunteers and supporters. If you are going to the hide in town early morning is best. We saw platypus towards the right on the opposite side when looking from the hide and way down near the bend in the creek to...More
