An avenue of bottle trees on both sides of the road, each with a plaque dedicated to past & lost servicemen and women. It is well maintained and a different type of memorial than purely the War Memorials you see in the majority of towns. Worth the walk along to pay your respect.

It is a nice area with 2 covered tables and a beautifully manicured lawn. You can then follow the bottle trees down the road. Each one has a dedication to a fallen soldier.

A lovely tree lined street - great for a photo. Again - combine with your church, baobab tree walk. Easy flat walk from motels.

Visited on Friday 23rd July. We went for a drive along the streets used by the diggers all those years ago, what a great way to honor their memory planting the local bottle trees with a plaque nearby.

The line of Boab trees and the signs of rememberance erected shortly after 1918 was an excellent and clever way to rember those that had fallen. The trees, most one hundred plus years old were excellent as were thr brass plaques.

The avenue is lined with bottle trees one in memory of a local lost in WW1. The first is said to have been planted in 1918. Most of the name plates are no longer on the trees but all 93 names are listed on a cairn outside the Post Office

A trip back in time to discover the local heroes. Roma has found a way to give the service men a dedication that can be read and visited anytime - there is a plaque under each bottle tree ... and you walk as long as you want as you can come back another day.

A very lovely tribute to those war heroes who sadly gave their lives during World War 1. Each tree is dedicated to one soldier and has a plaque with the name, unit they were attached to and the battle they died in. It stretches over a few streets and the bottle-tree lined streets look absolutely amazing.

There is an excellent information booklet that tells the stories behind the fallen men of Roma during The Great War. At each tree there is also a plaque that provides details on the soldier each tree is planted in honour of.

The bottle trees along the streets and the plaques underneath them make a good tourist attraction. The information about each person is interesting and makes for a personal introduction to those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country
