Just 30 minutes from Cairns, Kuranda village is very much a tourist location accessed by a wonderful, scenic drive up the range. Plenty of tourist traps and activities in town, including many eating houses. The Falls are located a couple of km outside of town...More

Not far out of Kuranda (perhaps 5kms - though I wasn't counting) is a small parking area with access to the viewing spots for Barron Falls. The boardwalk and path, though steep in some places is wheelchair friendly. Plenty of signs and notices pointing out...More

Beautiful spot. The walk is easy and you are surrounded by beautiful rainforest! The actual canyon and falls themselves are mammoth, they make you feel small by comparison. Would recommend!

Our daughter had photos of the falls when the floods earlier in the year, so in contrast the falls were fabulous but not spectacular like during the floods, earlier in the year.

Amazing attraction. A must-see when in Kuranda, especially in the wet season. Take a camera and the kids.

We were able to view the falls twice, once going up to Kuranda via Sky Rail and again on the Kuranda Train ride. There was a moderate amount of water in the falls but were still great to see.

This is a free entry. Parking available. Toilets available. This is a lovely place to visit. The board walk is well made and easy to walk. Wear food walking shoes and take some water. I enjoyed the visit and recommend it.

Unfortunately we visited in the dry season and there was limited flow. It was a great place to visit and see the falls. Lots of history and photographic opportunities. Make sure you visit.
