When going to Kuranda keep going to the Barron Falls. The walk is through the reain forest on well maintained paths and canopies over the treetops. It is an easy walk and you get to see the falls.

Its a lovely place. Could see it on the skyline or the train. I could imagine what it would look like during wet season.

A few km from Kuranda is Barron Falls. The falls were not very impressive because we visited during the dry season. What was impressive was the really nice and well-maintain boardwalk from the carpark to the various lookouts. I have been on privately-owned boardwalks where...More

Beautiful region and lovely scenery. Waterfalls pretty when I was there in July but much more dramatic when in full force - need to pick your season carefully.

Walked in from the car park- nice elevated rainforest walkway The falls are quite modest at this time of year. If you are into nature, a worthy way to spend some time when you visit Kuranda

Near the Kuranda township, a massive spectacular gorge. The waterfall is at its best during “The Wet” of course, but the gorge is spectacular at any time of year. Even without a great volume of water, the striated rock formations are colourful and impressive. The...More

Short tropical rain forest walk, but you will be surprised with the nature around you, especially the Fig tree in the hear of the forest. Please also make sure that you prepare your swimming cloths, the water is chill and clear, even if you cannot...More

We enjoyed a peaceful walk from the upper car park down to the falls. It is a very peaceful place and close to Kuranda, which is a great little town to visit. Definitely worth doing if you have a car!
