Maybe ok if you have a boat, but just to stand on the shore and fall into deep mud...not my idea of fun! Nice sunset though

We stayed in the Yungabara caravan park right on the dam. The whole area has heaps to see and do. From here you can see the Curtain fig tree, the crater lakes and swim in the lake. Opposite the caravan park is the memorial walk...More

Lake Tinaroo would be an amazing place if we didn,t have global warming and we had abundance of water. When we were there the dam was very very low and signs up NO MOTOR boats etc because a lot off trees/stumps protruding from the water...More

Pretty location with wonderful war memorial there called Avenue of Honour. Went back twice as so lovely there. Lovely clean toilet facilities with even a shower there. Easy parking. Pretty drive to get there.

We were fortunate to have a week at Lake Tinaroo and caught a Barra, just a very picturesque place. It has great walking paths and wide open places for family play

Did some fishing, enjoyed the drive. A relaxing day. Take water and food. A few natural things to look at. We drove completely around the dam, a few creeks on route worth stopping at.
