Had a lovely time here few days ago. The workers are very friendly and passionate to help the bats recover and then be released to the colony nearby.

Yes our goal is always to return the bats to the wild where they have provide such important ecosystem services.

We visited the bat hospital with our family with a ten year old boy and were so glad we went although we had problems to find the hospital, even with the navi system. The explanations have been really interesting, also for the boy. Most people...More

Thanks for the review and glad you all enjoyed meeting the bats. Some of the navi systems think we are with the town of Atherton, and others a locality of Carrington.

It was great to visit this place & learn about our amazing bats & the important work being done here. Lucky we have people like Jenny who educates people, promotes & cares for the injured bats. You can really get up close & personal with...More

One of our return volunteers always says 'Once you go bat you always go back!'

I visited the bat hospital with a friend during our trip out to Atherton, and I’m so glad we went. I learnt more here about bats than I ever thought possible. The love the volunteers here have for the bats in their care is inspiring,...More

This is a great time of year to visit the hospital when we have so many bats in care, particularly the hundreds of flying fox orphans.

It was a pleasure to be able to finally get close to these awesome & beautiful creatures. They are so misunderstood by the majority of the population which is very sad. The staff and volunteers do an amazing job in looking after these little treasures...More

This outing did not turn out as I had envisioned. I went to it solo, and thus it was not a particularly organized affair. I did get to learn quite a bit about the struggles that the bats of Australia are facing, however, including climate...More

Sorry if we disappointed you Jason. We are in a rural area like many in Australia without mobile phone coverage, and certainly without Uber. Just a plain old taxi service.

Even we were running late, lovely Jenny took us on a fascinating tour around the hospital, introduced us to great creatures, explained everything and answered questions patiently. We had a great time and learned a lot. It was a great experience, well worth every penny!

The Bat Hospital is set in a beautiful natural location just outside Atherton, and one of the most interesting visits you can make in this region. The entire facility is very professionally organised, and gives visitors an informative, close-up insight into the world of bats,...More

Jenny conducted a near 2 hour educational "Event". Bats of all types and sizes were lovingly displayed by someone obviously passionate about their welfare. The bats did allow us close at times, with Jenny's guidance. Always informative & entertaining. A real MUST.

Thanks Don. Yes it all depends on the interest level of our guests as to how long the tours go. We're always happy to take the time to answer all questions.
