Just on the edge of Atherton this little park has a short walk through a pocket of rainforest, around the creek. Keep a watch for the Stone Curlew - they have a very unusual call. Be sure to take some healthy food and feed the...More

You only pay if you indeed could see some platypus. We did and we paid some $ 17 per person. The guide took us a short walk to the pond where we didn't see anything for the first about 10 minutes. Suddenly we could see...More

Nice well maintained area with cozy restaurant Had a great, well prepared hamburger as lunch (full meal for me) , it’s a pleasant place for lunch overlooking the small lake. The tours start every 30 minutes with a very friendly Tour guide. We were lucky...More

Was a pretty park with ducks and viewing platform. Had fun pottering along the bank on opposite side of river trying to spot a platypus. Think I might have seen one but only for a second. Was fun looking.

We visited here in the hope of seeing a platypus. We had a quick talk over the rules and got some info on spotting a platypus. It costs $6 per person to view the platypus; presumably because it is on private land. There is a...More

Stopped here on our way to Milla Milla falls (amazing btw) and decided to pay the $6 to see some platypus. Didn't see anything but the man and woman running the place were pleasant enough to make the stop not too bad

Nice location overlooking Platypus park which has mostly ducks and chickens. The best location to spy platypus is in Yungaburra in Peterson creek or even Lakeside. The service at the cafe is pleasant and friendly, the coffee was hot and good, the food was a...More
