We dropped in just to have a look round and were greeted with coffee morning and fund raising event - it was great, we were made most welcome and a kind lady helped us navigate round the church using their printed guide - very interesting...More

A large church for a small town. Lots of interesting memorials and architectural features. Well worth a visit.

If churches are your thing then you'll love St Mary's. It's quite large and appears to be thriving. Most interesting to us were the stone carvings, including the famous miner, said to be the oldest sculpture of a miner in the world.

Very interesting. Beautiful church. Large for area. Interesting lead mining history. Currently railings are being restored. Very quaint

If you are in the area this church is worth a look. The layout inside is so different to any other church I have been in. Plenty to look at and information sheets are available as you walk in.
