Tides well has nice wide streets and attractive stone buildings. There are shops aimed at visitors though they weren't all open.

Well kept and presented church. Nothing to dislike about it, although I expect it's quite cold in the winter!

A lovely church. Beautiful inside and worth a visit. The kitchen garden outside was lovely too. We did not see a service but think it would have been worth it.

This huge village church is very special. The oak furniture, fittings and carvings are superb. The organ case carving remains unfinished as a result of the craftsman dying ! This beautiful building justifies its pseudonym and is obviously a focal point of the village community.

I think it would have been marvellous had we been able to get in. Despite the website saying it opened at 9am it wasn't open at 10am on a Saturday in Lent. Some church!

The Bulls Head at Foolow and The Barrel Inn we liked but all the pubs in Tideswell were not serving food except The Horse & Jockey. The Anchor Inn was closed altogether.

A fantastic church in the village of Tideswell. Beautiful from the outside and lovely (although a little untidy and dusty) on the inside.

The church was open with no restrictions as to where you could go. It provided an invaluable insight into the local ecclesiastical history. Well worth a visit.
