Perfect place to visit, if you want to rest from city noises. Peaceful! Wear your walking shoes. Take some picnic with you.

Great walk but better out of the high season as it gets busy. Only had to wait for a few minutes to cross the stepping stones as people were having photos taken. We walked from Alsop-en-le Dale to Milldale, then along Dovedale south to Thorpe...More

Had a bit of a problem finding it with our satnav and there is no signal near by to check if you are a bit lost. Parking is £3 for the day.

A lovely place for a walk but it gets very busy, especially in the nice weather. £3 to park the car but if you don't mind a longer walk you can park for free up at Thorpe near The Old Dog. The steping stones across...More

We used the car park which costs a heafty £3. The walk to the stepping stones is only 10 minutes. That’s all we did as it was raining, but the scenery is lovely. Worth doing. There are WC’s and a food place in the car...More

This is a beautiful place. A short 10 minute walk from the car park (grab an ice cream for the journey) gets you to the iconic stepping stones. It can get busy but very nice and a great view from the top of the hill,...More

There are some located at the carpark. I didn't use them so can't comment on the condition. I gather that it costs 20p to use them.

It’s certainly walkable even for someone with difficulty. The route is flat and well pathed.
