Great cave tour with a guide that explains the formations and ecosystems involved. It's on national geographic's top ten for a reason. Also walk through a lot of local animals afterwards.

Keep in mind the cenote is not large so "walking through" is only a really short path around the edge. There is an underground cave tour on the same property which includes a bridge across a cenote if that's more your speed... More
