Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The staff was very friendly and helpful in helping us choose the perfect bottle of wine for take-out Offered samples as well. They also have a great selection of craft beer, both on tap and bottled.
Nice lounge area to meet up with friends .

Great atmosphere to stop for a glass of wine in downtown Statesville. Reasonable prices, great selection of wine to take with you. Ample pours at the bar.

Best place in town for a cold craft beer, glass of wine and good conversation. The twelve tap selection rotates constantly so there is always something new to try. There is also a great selection of unique snacks. Owner and Staff are second to none. You may not know anyone when you come in, but you will by the time you leave.

This place was bought out recently, so new owners are working on making the place their own.
My husband and I meet with friends here on Thursdays and for the past couple of visits have enjoyed the house cab selections.
Spoke with the owner, he has big plans for this establishment and is very nice.
My only recommendation is more seating inside...we are non-smokers so outside patio isn't a comfortable place for us to kick back.

Was looking at alternative packaging for wine for one of our sister companies and we needed three or four bottle each of good quality red and whites for customer presentations.
We had to work one Saturday trying to catch up on a backlog and while the plant was running, I ran over to Wine Maestro to see what they had and to pick up at least some Whites. I have been to the Mooresville store on several occasions and was expecting something similar
Place was deserted but another customer and I walked in together. He was first so no problem, let him take care of his business. Turns out he had order a special order of beer that was special order for Wine Maestro and now he did not want it. Since it was not a normal SKU for Wine Maestro, they did not want to take it back.
So far, well and good but then the conversation turned to Grand-kids, the Weather, Sports etc.
At this point, I am walking out when the Manager calls out " May I help you".? Normally I would have just walked out and gone elsewhere but I had already wasted almost 30 minutes so rather than waste more, I did engage with a conversation.
He did make the comment that he thought I was with the first customer he had spent so much time with.
In the end, we did find three bottles of the same Winery and Vintage of a very good Napa Valley Chardonnay .in that $30 to $40 range but more importantly, that vintage was recognized by several rewards.
All this history aside, let move to the basic observations. Poor management and Poor Customer Service to leave a customer standing there for almost 30 minutes without acknowledging the customer. If he had engaged, he would have found I was separate and not with the gentleman I walked in with.
For the Statesville area, a better than expected selection of wines but generally limited to one or two bottles of a particular wine or it's vintage. There were several good wines but in most cases, they only had one or at most two of the same vintage. It was pushing it to find three.
They have an outside patio on Broad Street but the only food they serve is Cheese as a compliment to Wine and Craft Beer. Cheese with wine yes. A pairing with Beer - Not so much.
Due to limited space, selection in term of variety and depth in terms of number of units of any specific wine is limited. Mooresville while not the ultimate does have a large selection.
In addition, Statesville is limited to Cheese for compliment items while Mooresville is closer to a Cafe.
Bottom line is that it's pretty good for the area but because of the service, have to give it only a three rating.
