Overview
More
Edendale Community and Environment Farm is a key destination for Nillumbik residents and visitors. The site provides a range of important social and environmental benefits through environmental education, raising awareness about sustainable lifestyles, growing and selling indigenous plants and as a place to meet, learn skills and participate through volunteering. Originally part of a 51 acre site first purchased from The Crown in 1852 by pioneer Henry Stooke, the site has now been transformed into a vibrant community environment centre which delivers a wide range of environmental and sustainability based programs. There are so many fun and informative activities all year round at Edendale including meeting our animals, visiting the Indigenous plant nursery, exploring the gardens and artwork, or enjoying a coffee at Café Eden.

Extremely affordable place to visit that will delight whole family. Apart from a petting zoo it’s also a great educational centre. An unexpected delight is watching the trains go past over back fence

Visited here with a friend and noticed now family friendly it was. Good size carpark and free. Plenty for the children to do and learn how food is grown, and where it comes from - animals and vegetables.

Our 2 year old Grandson, and I might add his Mother and myself, totally loved our visit to Edendale Community Farm. The Farm was clean and well organized for children to pet kid and adult goats, cows, sheep, walk among the chickens and turkey, observe...More

Edendale Farm offers a wide range of activities to suit all needs. Besides the farm, they have an awesome indigenous nursery where members of the public can purchase seedlings from. Staff are all very knowledgable and friendly

This is a little gem in the middle of Eltham and is reknowned for the artwork, the ethical standards of reduce, reuse, recycle and gigs that occur regularly. As part of the Green Wedge, this farming style area gives you an opportunity to see what...More

Edendale farm is a lovely farming complex in the Eltham green area. It was disappointing though to find the advertised cafe running out of a caravan. I did however, have a coffee and a lovely freshly made muffin. Sadly, seating was rather grim with a...More

Took my three primary school aged children here this afternoon, and we had a lovely time! I held a stick bug and got to pet a blue-tongued lizard. There were lots of other animals around too and good activities for the children.
