Visiting relations in this area on our trip to Australia went down to the beach and although it is Spring it was beautiful. We were so jealous having long beach on your doorstep. Would love to see it in the summer or even Xmas Day...More
Beautiful little beach even tho it was raining the water was warm the sand was clean my 15 yr old was enjoyin a good old swim in the sea just a beautiful place also had younger children with us who had fun paddling
Look at the sesaside cliffs, the raging ocean, the marina or visit the shops to spend a few dollars on something wintry that is on sale at the moment! Or induclge yourself and stay at a fancy place for a treat!
As a family with children aged 4,8,11 and 13 we keep returning to Robe as a favourite destination for all of us. The beach is a beauty with a good long walk available, clean waters, a beautiful stretch of sand and a good family vibe....More
I liked the Robe Beach. It was secluded. The sand was soft and I liked the rocks at the end of the beach.
Strolling near the ocean was relaxing.
Nearby this beach, there were people working with big machines.
I enjoyed being on that beach....More
Robe was a surprise. Obviously a holiday destination for many, it is set up as a tourist mecca. Loved the views and loved the town. The walkway along the eastern cliffs is well constructed and a pleasure to walk.
Yes! Check out Glass Beach! Park your car at the end of Bermingham Rd in Robe. Then turn to the right and walk for 2 minutes. Glass Beach is tiny and is covered in sea glass! I wish I could post photos here.

Just came back from Robe a week ago. There are signs almost everywhere that dogs are not allowed off leash daylight saving hours till after Easter. Some are on leash all of the time, some from memory were off leash before 9am and after 8pm. The only off leash areas are out of town past 3rd ramp access which is from the Kingston Road with sign saying "Surfing" (doesn't actually say 3rd ramp. You can drive on the beach down to here. The other off leash is West Beach which has a strong rip, no good for swimming, so watch your dog if it likes the water. Locals say it is fairly relaxed but I guess at peak season they would be more diligent at patrolling. We found most beaches pretty empty during the week and Nora Creina 25 km away was a fave.
