We started the walk from Cook's monument. Soaked up amazing views, gentle incline walk, little bridges, rainforest, viewing platforms, rest seats along the way. Thoroughly enjoyed these few hours exploring. Approx. 3km return, allow 45 minutes to headland. Take water!

If you don't mind squeezing past everyone on the short walk to the headland, it is worth it for lovely views and the sight of a whale passing by. Probably the highlight of a visit to 1770 as there didn't seem much else to see,...More

This is a really beautiful walk through a forested pathway taking in a small butterfly sanctuary and beautiful views of the inlet leading into 1770. The walk takes you past a monument to Captain Cook which signifies his first sighting of Australia in the year...More

This was a great place to take in the headland .Lovely walk and lots of information and history. The end of the day was a fantastic sunset to sit at the headland and take in.

I have visited this spot about 10-15 times now, I always see turtles and most times I see dolphins. On a few of those occasions I have also seen whales. I am never disappointed by the view. Spectacular

Spectacular views! Well worth walking the tracks. Signs need replacing as it’s difficult to understand what track is what hence walking all of them.

Would highly recommend doing this walk. The walk itself is not strenuous and the paths are well maintained. The view from the viewing platforms are stunning

At the headland at 1770 don’t miss the opportunity to walk the short circuit and capture some of these breathtakingly beautiful views.

Hi Helen, yes the roads are sealed all the way, as well as the entire car park. Most of the foot paths are paved as well and it is easy to get to all the interesting things. Please let me know if you have any further... More
