The actual play part of the park itself, I can't attest to. However, this park contains a number of historic places relevant to the history of the Gold Coast - Maid of Sker, Preece House and Ceramic House (visitor information centre). Worth a look for...More

A nice small park while I found the only interesting thing was the preserved old paddle steamer "the Maid of Sker". It's well kept and clean and tidy, but you may have to fight off some of the fitness fanatics.Plenty of off street parking.

Something for kids and adults. Fishing, history with the Made Of Sker now fully restored, playground, big grassed area for ball games. Take a picnic lunch and enjoy the park.

There's a boat with some history and a few table's and chairs, was peaceful having morning tea after buying some fruit and vegetables from the market's opposite on Sunday mornings.

This park is part of the heart and soul of the Gold Coast and worthy of our best efforts to keep it maintained, especially the Maid of Sker, Australia's oldest remaining paddlesteamer. Wonderful trees, amazing facilities, central, big and bushy, a great family park.

The location is great with shops and the library nearby and plenty of parking. For a small park it is popular with the Maid of Sker and also on occasion a cafe is open as well serving Devonshire teas. I often go walking around this...More
