Went to the Monastery and its a steep walking but worth doing it. Also went Pervolakia gorge, worth walking long but beautiful and a nice village at the end up in the mountains where can refresh and eat. It's around 3 hours walk up!

The view is beautiful but it is a really short visit. You can drive to the monastery and in a 5 min walk you can visit the cave. Due-able with small children in a child carrier.

The only difference with this monastery is that is located on the stiff side of a small mountain , with absolutely nothing around it . Nice views around it too . !!!

Be prepared first of all for a longish uphill walk, but the effort for the views alone are worth it. This is another of the top revered older monasteries with a long history and there are always people visiting. Respect the building and enjoy a...More
