A perfect day for a 2.1 mile round trip on a moderate hiking trail. At the end of the trail, you are greeted by cows and bulls, with an incredible view of Bearwallow Mountain and the surrounding area. The trail is moderate so if you...More

Bearwallow Mountain is great. I drive up here several times a year when I have time. I prefer the fall when leaves are changing color. It's gorgeous.

The 3/4 mile hike up was through woods and the trail was well marked and maintained. Some roots and rocks to step over but a relatively easy hike. I am 71 and had no problems. The meadow with cows and the serene view were great....More

It took some work to find the trail head (our fault as there are multiple Bearwallow roads). This address should work in your GPS and if in doubt, keeping climbing until you pass Grand Highlands subdivision - it is less than 1/2 mile from there....More

It is a great drive for the view. It's a nob of big houses, and I think there is a club up there of some kind. I loved the mountain view!

An amazing hike up the hill. If you take the trail it's shorter but a little harder then the road. Steep hike up. Well worth the hike on the top there where cows and some of the most amazing views of the surrounding mountains.
