Wonderful visitors center with delightful staff. Great place to stop and walk along the river. Enjoyed learning some history. Well staffed center. This is a great stop even if you do not want to take the three mile hike.

This trail is very pleasant. It begins at the Oconaluftee Visitors Center, and follows a stream to some historic cabins that are very interesting. The hike is easy, and the scenery is peaceful and pleasant.
