Avo of goodness: 3 Hour Chilled out Sail

Our afternoon trip departs the beach at 1:45pm and returns at 4:45pm.

Plan to sail around the beautiful coastline on Fully Charged and visit local iconic locations, setting anchor for half an hour at Cathedral Cove. Either relax on the boat, or have a swim or snorkel in the marine reserve with the amazing fish life.

Your trip includes a complementary chilled local beer or New Zealand wine along with some smoked local seafood.

Every trip is different. Help to sail or sit back on our comfy beanbags, soak up the scenery and relax.

Using wind power as opposed to engines and fuel allows us to take guests out with minimal impact on the environment.

Such an amazing experience from start to finish. We conquered a few fears (even swum with the fish!) and then had the most relaxing and entertaining afternoon on board, with a glass of wine in hand. Mat and Sam were great at explaining everything and made us feel right at ease. Highly recommend this company and we can't wait to do it again! Thanks team!

Nice work on getting in with those fish! Its cool to sit back and watch people start out a little apprehensive about this new and pretty random adventure they have signed up for, and by mid way through a trip settle right in and, by the end, love it so much they don’t want to get off. Thanks for the nice review of Boomsailing!

I did this amazing trip today. 3 hours turned into four. BONUS. Sam and Mat were our super attentive and wonderful crew. Nothing was to much bother and they made sure everyone was happy and taken care of. There is no comentary, but questions are answered. It was great to get lost in thought and oggle at the scenery. The swim was a highlight for me. This is not an ordinary boat ride. This is time out from life. A time to kick back, relax, have your hair style ruined by the wind, have a drink and appreciate the beauty that surrounds. Perfect.

Thanks! It’s no secret that here at Boomsailing we are running on Island time and are quite often a little late to get back if everyone seems settled in and nobody’s in too much of a hurry. No running commentary is our style, we never wanted to be a tour bus on water and it’s nice you don’t have to hear me waffle on for hours on end, unless you want too. The last 5 lines of your amazing review sum up our trip and the experience we are trying to provide perfectly. I’m going to have to steal it for our new brochure!

Booked the avo of goodness tour for our girls weekend away. Mat and Charlotte were excellent hosts and took us on an awesome catamaran trip. Sun, bean bags, wine, fresh fruit, snorkeling with snappers, checking out Cathedral Cove from the ocean and learning how to sail made our afternoon super fun. Would highly recommend this trip 🙂

Last minute decision to head to Whitianga for Waitangi Day weekend and a quick search for water activities resulted in booking the afternoon sail with Boom Sailing. Best decision ever. Mat and Charlotte delivered a wonderfully chilled afternoon - with plenty of opportunities to join in with the sailing or just relax on beanbags on the nets. The best way to see the coromandel is definitely from the water and the opportunity to sail along the coastline viewing cathedral cove and visit the marine reserve with a stop for snorkeling with wine, beer and fruit platter on hand made for a wonderful afternoon. Highly recommend this afternoon out to de-stress from everyday life. Mat is bringing his catamaran to Auckland for the Americas Cup and we’re looking forward to having the chance to get back on the water again with this lovely boat and crew.

Last minute plans are always the best. Was great the boat suited all the individual needs of your family for the day out. I think having you guys out was a good opportunity for us to sit back and reiterate how the layout of the boat and options for how you want to experience the trip is well balanced and can really suit any group. If your interested in sailing and getting amongst it there is plenty to do and if your interested in relaxing the day away staying away from any action there is always a few comfortable spots to settle into and watch the day go past at a leisurely pace

We did a 4 hour private sailing with a group of 6 adults and 4 children. It was the best experience and something we will not forget. Highly recommend this for anyone that is after an amazing time out on the water. The crew were amazing and made the day something to remember.
