This is a great place to look for local art and New Zealand-themed gifts. Much nicer offerings than souvenir shops. The prices are higher but the quality is high as well.

This is a beautiful gallery full of many local artists works. We were lucky enough to have Michael Smithers there the day we visited. They have a broad range of items and I am sure you will find something you love and must take home.
