As I was heading to the Yallingup Beach, I noticed a park with a playground.
I had to go down to the beach. There were numerous rocks. That was fun. The tide was coming in.
In the distance I saw waves at the same place...More
Along with all the other fantastic beaches in this part of the world Yallingup does not disappoint. We went for lovely walks in the morning along the strand. Clean crystal clear waters white sand just breath taking
Spent a few hours looking around this sweet spot whilst my husband was paragliding off the dunes.
It has a place for everyone. Waves for the adventurer, and surfer.
Shallow pools for kids to explore, great grassed area for picnics and good amenities nearby.
This may well be a good surf break for the educated but to a novice or non surfer looked dangerous in the windy conditions. Not a lot of clear beach area but with rocky outcrops showing a rugged coastline with a picturesque little seaside village.
Yallingup is such a gorgeous place of lovely people enjoying their surroundings. The main beach in this area meets all your desires; if you want to picnic, then there's a large grassed area with picnic tables, trees for shade, and a playground within mums sight....More

There is a small part of the beach for safe swimming but there are often waves. Not a problem if you stay in the shallow water. If you are an experienced swimmer then you could body surf on the main beach. I agree with a previous post that Dunsborough and Busselton are more protected beaches but if you have transport then it isn't far to travel from Yallingup to Dunsborough and Busselton.

I'm not aware that there is anything on Yallingup Beach for rent. it's not that kind of beach. it's a very residential area with summer homes for Perth people, and everyone brings their own gear. Great surf though! There's a few shops at the town centre (which is basically a crossroad), and there's a surf shop, cafe, and bathing suit store. It's a tiny cute, posh, lovely place on a great part of the coast with towering hills above it which you can climb or drive up, for great views up and down the coast.
