Lots of water flowing
Jul 2021 • Solo
There’s been a higher than normal rainfall in the area over the past couple of months which certainly helped the water flowing on the Fernhook Falls today.

There’s also some great walking trails.

Long drive for no water flow .....
Apr 2021
Very long drive on gravel roads to find no water flowing, we suggest you check it out before you go. Had a nice walk around the area & we believe it would be lovely to see the falls in action.

picnic in the wild or overnight camp.

Best in late winter or after heavy rains when the small drop waterfalls are at their most spectacular.

The sound of nature
Jan 2021
Such a beautiful place. Just to sit unwind and listen to nature at its best was so relaxing. A must for people wanting to have some peace time.

Lovely place for a picnic
Nov 2020
We had a picnic lunch at Fernhook Falls. There is a large undercover seating area with BBQ's and running water available. Not for drinking though. It was raining so a lovely place for our lunch before a walk. There are toilets and the walk trails are well sign posted. The falls were flowing and very pretty. The rocks looked quite slippery so we just stayed on the pathways. It is a gravel road to get there but a good road. We walked through the camping area and they are big sites with toilets, fire pits and there are 2 cabins as well if you want to experience bush camping but have no camper, tent or caravan. There is also another large, undercover
camp kitchen in the camping area.

Bliss
Nov 2019
So quiet except for the water tumbling over the falls and the bird calls and the breeze in the trees. Blissful spot.

Great spot for camping or a picnic
Sep 2019 • Friends
Close to the road these falls can be seen from either side of the bridge or via the walk in the National Park. There are toilets, shelters, BBQ facilities and tables here. There are a few wildflowers here, including Cowslip orchids.

Fernhook falls

Total suprise. The drive into the falls is quite lovely and the camp ground at Rowell pool is great canoeing and for offroad camping. There are some small basic cabins as well as open spaces for tenting or campers. There are well set up cooking fire pits

Peacefull and $8 per night per adult to stay
Jan 2019 • Couples
Fernhook Fall Camp site was secluded, a great place to camp before or after visiting Mount Frankland. As it is summer, we would not swim in the water due to the water appearing stagnant. To see the falls try later in the year, when there has been rain.

The camp facilities include a camp kitchen, water tanks and toilets. Each site has space between them allowing for privacy. A delightful bush camp.
