Caught the 8.25am train to fremantle (30mins). Walked out the station, turn right n walked straight to reach B- Shed (about 5mins) to catch the ferry.

We took a shortcut to the Rottnest Island Salt Lakes. We wanted to see the Pink Lake. After biking for a long time, we found it!
At first the Pink Lake did not look pink, but nearby there was red surrounding the lake.
With the ferry ⛴ you reach this small island in 20/25 minute from Perth.
No cars are allowed just bikes! (To rent)
Total relax 😎 Beautiful beaches and great nature.
Don’t think to have entertainment on the island just a couple of restaurants.
Its a salt flat. Wouldnt normally even think it needs a review, However! walking back to our cottage one night when the mind was up the salt lake was throwing a huge amount of foam along the road. Quite fun to run and stomp on...More

It’s the first thing you get to if you go directly west from town. I only noticed a faint smell but the pink and blue colours and froth sitting around were very noticeable. Lots of bird life including breeding areas.
