Fabulous walk through the forest to the top of the mountain to see some spectacular views including the balancing rock and the amazing skywalk. Not for the faint hearted.

Walked the hills, then crossed the centre trail and climbed the Devil's Slide. An exciting day's walking. Drove the scenic drive and stopped the car along it to look at the flowers. The next day we drove to Castle Rock for the Skywalk. A fun...More

We decided to take the route through the National Park on the return drive to Bunbury. There is a variety of excellent literature available for the visitor that wishes to enjoy the flora, walk trails, granite peaks, rock climbing and tourist drives. We only had...More

Went for a day trip out to the Porongurups whilst staying in Albany over the Christmas/New year period. Came here with the wife and a 2.5 year old in tow so even though the walk trails were too challenging for the three of us, the...More

Went for the granite sky walk but the Porongurups are so much more than this. Many walk trails...short, longer, easy to not so much... something for everyone. Beautiful tranquil forest...lots of noise, bird chatter that is... simply delightful. Started the granite sky walk but the...More

The Tree in the Rock area of the Porongorups has more walks, also with stunning views. The 5.5 kms Nancy Peak loop walk is our favourite, with views north to the Stirling Range and south to the coast. There is another shorter but also steep...More

There’s a little trick to be aware of when you start this walk; the info board says it’s a 2.4 km walk to the granite clifff walk (east you think; 30 minutes I’ll be there) ; what it doesn’t tell you is that it’s 2.4...More

Take a detour off the main drag (Albany Highway) and drive through the Porongurup National Park. Incredible views and well worth the time taken to check it all out.

The relatively hard climb on a well dined track is well worth the effort. Very safely constructed Sky Walk allowed an almost 270 degree "stunning view" of the surrounds. The walk is conquered by all....from 5 y.o. to 85y.o

Fantastic climb and View. Well worth visiting. Achievable for most just take care over the rock scramble, but this is where the best views are.

I would not recommend it at all, there's some nasty terrain and it gets pitch black out there. A word of warning; if anybody gets injured or lost, there will be no rescue carried out in the dark as Rangers etc are not... More
