Take a detour off the main drag (Albany Highway) and drive through the Porongurup National Park. Incredible views and well worth the time taken to check it all out.

The relatively hard climb on a well dined track is well worth the effort. Very safely constructed Sky Walk allowed an almost 270 degree "stunning view" of the surrounds. The walk is conquered by all....from 5 y.o. to 85y.o

Fantastic climb and View. Well worth visiting. Achievable for most just take care over the rock scramble, but this is where the best views are.

worth the walk and then the short climb. better to wear sturdy joggers. the structure that has been built to allow for the viewing at the top is amazing . not an overly strenuous walk or climb, but will need a bit of strength and...More

My wife was not in the mood for the long uphill trek to the skywalk. We'd come from Kondinin and still needed to find our next stay in Albany. So one could see her point! Instead we stayed more at 'ground level' and still found...More

Just loved walking up to Castle Rock. Rain didn't matter as the scenery was beautiful. Thoroughly recommend the Walitj Meil trail which gives loads of interesting information. Saw kangaroos with joeys.

Plenty to see and do. Most of the walk trails are long and hard as there's a lot of uphill trekking. But a new trail of only one Km has just been opened up and that's a relatively easy one.

The Porongorups are home to interesting flora and fauna and also have wineries and plenty of walking trails to keep you occupied.

This National Park isn't the biggest but does have a few interesting walks. The granite sky walk is a reasonably easy walk with a short climb at the end. But if you fancy a longer and in my opinion better walk try the Nancy peak...More

Porongurup National Park is situated close to Mt Barker and is surrounded by lovely rolling farmland and interesting wineries. The park offers several longish walks which are rewarded by spectacular views across to the southern coast and also to the Stirling Ranges to the north.

I would not recommend it at all, there's some nasty terrain and it gets pitch black out there. A word of warning; if anybody gets injured or lost, there will be no rescue carried out in the dark as Rangers etc are not... More
