As a lover of heritage museums, I was disappointed to see this one that has so much history to showcase looked very neglected and dirty...
$6 is very overpriced compared to others that are better presented.
Extensive, fascinating and great variety of classics, memorabilia and collectables. Some areas a bit cluttered and could use some description. Good value for money at $6. Love the heritage stone buildings. Well restored and nice to have accommodation and cafe on site. Friendly helpful staff.

OK not such an easy question to answer. Usually it's Thursday to Sunday but during the quiet times of Winter they close more often. This winter they shut completely for renovations of the Al Fresco café area outside. It's best to go ask the locals at the Hardware store or the Manager at the caravan park. There is a sign opposite the caravan park out of town which says open or closed but no real times put on there (or wasn't there when we left in August). Hope this helps a bit. :)
