A lovely collection of trees, flowers and shrubs from around the world. The layout of the gardens was stunning and you can easily walk around for a few hours without seeing everything. The tea rooms were excellent, including a nice selection of cakes, savoury food...More

First the gardens. They were fine if you like exotic trees from all over the world, but I think I expected them to be prettier. Didn't find the map we were given at the ticket office particularly helpful for finding our way around. The tea...More

Huge gardens and quite spectacular. Well worth the visit but make sure you give yourselves a minimum of 2 to 3 hrs. The cafe is also very good.

A treat for the eyes. This amazing garden is packed with exotic plants , all growing very well. You can walk around the winding gardens and happen across statues and other features. Within the garden is the Valhalla figurehead museum. This was informative and you...More

There will almost certainly be some trees and plants that you have not seen before. The ticket allows you to come in and out throughout your day on Tresco. The Cafe has very fresh food, much of it grown on the island.

I am not sure about any of this as we stayed in St Marys. when you land in St Marys there are plenty of boards up detailing boat trips etc.

We were there in August and learned that we are probably no gardening people. We spent about the same amount of time in the garden as we did at the Valhalla museum.

Hi Oldpigsqueal, The red squirrels tend to stay around the garden but you do sometimes see them near the garden entrance and around the Garden Cafe... Even if you're not a plant fan, the Garden is still well worth a visit... More
